Rest & De Stress evenings are monthly 2 hour sessions on Thursdays from 7-9pm, £15.

These sessions include gentle movement and breath techniques to designed to unwind the nervous system to prepare for a deep guided Yoga Nidra practice. Much of the movement practice is floor based to use the support of the ground to enable releasing and loosening. This is a different practice from a traditional Hatha yoga class, and the emphasis is on calming, grounding and soothing rather than anything ambitious or acrobatic. The practice helps to heal from the effects of stress and enables the body’s innate relaxation response to switch on.  Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a guided rest meditation that is practiced lying down and is a powerful way to release stress and heal exhaustion. These sessions are suitable for all abilities and no prior experience in yoga is necessary.
